昨年の11月に六甲ミーツアート beyondの展示と並行して渡英の決定、ビザの取得、猫と住むことのできる家探し、渡航の手配、猫の検疫準備、そしてスタジオの片付けと作品の移動、マンションの退去と怒涛の引っ越しをしました。
写真は猫2匹を連れての引っ越しの様子載せておきます。

1日目｜神戸市のマンション退去→関西国際空港での検疫→空港近くのペット可のAirbnbで1泊
2日目｜関西国際空港からKLMでオランダ・アムステルダムへ。
3日目｜オランダ・アムステルダム到着。空港近くのペット可のホテルで1泊
4日目｜アムステルダムを数時間散策。オランダ・Hook of HolandからStena Lineの夜行フェリーでイギリス・Harwickへ。
5日目｜早朝にイギリス・Harwickに到着。タクシーの手配ミスでHarwickからロンドンまで電車移動。ロンドンからタクシーでオックスフォードの自宅に到着。

その後の生活のスタートもなかなかさらに大変だったのですが、まずは無事にイギリスについたのでした。

Last November, while my exhibition for Rokko Meets Art beyond was still running, we were also deciding to move to the UK, getting our visas, looking for a cat-friendly house, arranging travel, preparing our cats for quarantine, packing up my studio and moving my work, and moving out of our apartment. It was a whirlwind of a move.
Here are some photos from the move, traveling with our two cats.

Day 1 | Moved out of our apartment in Kobe, went through quarantine procedures at Kansai International Airport, and stayed one night at a pet-friendly Airbnb near the airport.
Day 2 | Flew from Kansai International Airport to Amsterdam, the Netherlands, with KLM.
Day 3 | Arrived in Amsterdam. Stayed one night at a pet-friendly hotel near the airport.
Day 4 | Explored Amsterdam for a few hours, then took the Stena Line overnight ferry from Hook of Holland, the Netherlands, to Harwich, England.
Day 5 | Arrived in Harwich early in the morning. Because of a mix-up with our taxi booking, we took the train from Harwich to London instead, then a taxi from London to our home in Oxford.

Getting life started after that was quite a challenge too, but for now, we had safely made it to the UK.
